APH Russia still doing that thing where he kisses people (on the lips) as a greeting - which is also why his fellow nations avoid him - and APH America being low key jealous so he makes it a thing to formally greet Ivan every time they have meetings so he can get some free Russian smooches. And tbh neither of them complain abt it but shhh don’t tell anyone.

(Until one day Ivan’s just not in the mood today and just casually greets Alfred with a mumbled “Privet” and Al accidentally blurts out “What, no kisses today?!”

And both of them are just so shocked - Alfred’s horrified - but then Ivan just starts laughing, kisses Al for a very very long time that everyone’s pretty sure it’s not just a formal greeting anymore, and says, “Good morning, little one.”
